Our Achievements

Carmyllie Primary School was the first school in Angus to have been awarded a silver Eco-School Award. We have an Eco-council made up of staff and pupils and are working towards our green flag.
Carmyllie School is a Health Promoting school as it has attained its Bronze, Silver and Gold awards. We are almost ready to submit our evidence for the new Heath Promoting School Accreditation
The children sell poppies each year in aid of the Earl Haig Fund Scotland.
The pupils take part in raising money for a number of worthwhile causes throughout the year. All fundraising is done in as fun a way as possible.
The children regularly earn house points and gain certificates, trophies and medals for achievements throughout the school year.
The children take part in Health Promotion Weeks each year. They complete a variety of Health Promotion activities and this year participated in a 5 mile walk in Crombie park.
The children, working with the Parent council, are turning a disused building outside the school into an Eco Room. This will be fitted with solar panels and used for wet playtimes and Eco activities.
Throughout the year, the P4-7 children have the opportunity to represent the school in a number of sporting events including; cricket, athletics, bowling, football. The senior class also goes swimming each year for a 10 week block.
